Yes, I interviewed at a few schools that I did not think would be a good fit after having visited. The first had a lot of illogical rules and a very sketchy vibe to it.
The second was one of the top schools in my state, and I was very excited to be called in to interview.
When I interviewed, however, the faculty interviewer was rude and self absorbed, and the student interviewers spent the entire allotted time complaining about the school and dropping f-bombs at eachother. Glad I got in elsewhere, because I couldn't see myself fitting in there.
There were a few others that had less than impressive interview days as well, but to much lesser degrees. So the moral of story: remember that the interview really is a two way street, that the school should be trying to impress you just as much as you are trying to impress them, and above all fit is everything.
