I know a couple people who've told me they actually have MORE free time in med school, but these are people who were putting up 4.0s at some serious schools (northwestern, duke) while doing research, ecs, etc.
Probably depends a lot on if you're at a top program where everything is unranked pass fail or if you're at a program where you're ranked against your peers and actually need to prove yourself.
