3.6 cGPA and sGPA, 41 MCAT, MSTP

Hello everyone--

I'm looking to apply to MD/PhD and MD programs next cycle. I'd really appreciate your input on the strength of my application before I apply! I really have no idea what numbers are considered competitive for MD/PhD programs (other than the averages on various school's websites). I'll try to be as thorough with my credentials as possible while also remaining anonymous.

I graduated from a fairly well regraded public school in the midwest in 2014. My undergrad cGPA was 3.62, sGPA was 3.61. I had a very poor GPA during my freshman year (2.6). Sophomore year was a 3.5. Junior and senior years were both 4.0. I took my MCAT in 2014 and scored a 41. I was a little unsure of my competitiveness, so I decided to take two years to strengthen other areas of my application. I ended up doing a post-bacc with a 4.0 GPA (probably didn't absolutely require this, but it was cheap since I worked at the school and it offered some cool classes). I wanted the post-bacc grades to appear on my application, so I took another year off (this year) and did research at my undergrad institution.

Between undergrad and gap years, I have 7 pubs (3 1st author, 2 2nd author, 2 3rd+) all in medical journals. Two poster/abstract presentations. One conference presentation. Two research funding awards and a travel award to present my project at a conference.

EC's:
worked in emergency room for 2ish years (approx 1000 hours)
Roughly 300 shadowing hours in various specialties
Approx 250 volunteer hours with three organizations
Worked as tour guide for 1 year
3 clubs on campus for 2 years

I'm an OH resident.

Some schools that have sparked interest (I realize many are extreme reaches):
Yale
Penn
Emory
Northwestern
Chicago
Pitt
Case
Harvard
Iowa
JHU
Tufts
Mich
BU
Columbia
Temple
Cincinnati
Rochester
Duke--dream school
Ohio ST
Vandy
Virginia
NEOMED
Indiana
Stanford
U Washington
Florida
WVU

I plan on applying MD/PhD at schools that offer those programs. However, if I am not accepted to an MD/PhD I will happily take a spot in an MD program.

I'm aware that this is an insanely top heavy list for someone with my stats.

Opinions on strength of application/which schools I should remove from list? @Goro

Thanks in advance!
