Too late to apply DO?

I didn't plan on applying DO because I couldn't find a DO doctor to shadow, but just found out that not all DO schools require shadowing. If I apply now, how long will the verification process take? I'm a FAP applicant, and I'm assuming its too late to get financial aid for the DO cycle, so I don't want to apply if I have very little chance. I would want to be complete at these schools before November, but am not sure if that's possible.
