Long time lurker and I finally made an account to pitch a question. I am so happy to have been recently accepted to three great schools and two of them stand out to me as top contenders. I am from the Midwest and looking for a change in weather - accepted to UT Houston and USC Keck. I am having trouble choosing between the school I liked the best (USC) and the school that is more financially responsible (UTH).
USC
-Liked the school the best
-City is more favorable to me
-Farther from home, harder to travel to
-Cost will be much greater, over $100k more to attend plus greater COL
-Higher ranked, more prestigious?
-Will be easier to get a competitive residency in midwest?
UTH
-School was nice, but I connected better with UTH
-City is fine, but not preferable
-Closer to home and direct flights are cheaper - important to me
-Tuition will be amazingly cheap as I can likely get IS tuition
-Lower ranked, but still a great school
-Harder to leave Texas for residency (if I want)?
