Can I take the EPPP during internship year via this method?

lundi 12 octobre 2015

Hi everyone,

I am on internship in Kansas and will receive my PsyD at the end of the year. Perhaps I am overly ambitious, but I am looking into whether it is possible to complete the EPPP before I begin post-doc.

If I am understanding Kansas licensing laws correctly, it appears that anyone with a Masters degree or who has completed their Doctoral comprehensive exams can apply for a "Masters Level Psychologist License". Applying for this makes you eligible for taking the EPPP, which you need a 60% pass in order to get an MLP License.

Would it be possible to take the EPPP for the MLP, get above a 70% pass rate, and use this score when I eventually apply for a Clinical Psychologist license?

How long are EPPP scores good for?

I probably will not be staying in Kansas, so I know that there is a "Score Transfer" fee from ASPPB but I am not sure if this would be legitimate since I technically took the exam for a Masters level license. I imagine that it might be attractive to post-docs or job positions to see that I have completed the EPPP already, if it counts for doctoral licensing...

Thank you.
