Acceptance distance for ITA emails

Hey guys,
So I'm from Washington DC and have an interview at a NYC school in early december. I've also applied to a few other New York schools but haven't heard back yet. Is it ok if I send them the ITA emails or is it too short of a distance and would come across as annoying? I was thinking of doing this just to minimize the time spend away from school! Also do people know if Cornell/NYU/Columbia are receptive to ITAs? I think Cornell is.
