Yet another lovely story about the heartlessness of administrators. I can't believe that they were going to dump all those residents (and their patients) on their behinds. They weren't even going to let them finish their residencies before shutting down the program. That's twisted.
Also, I hate to break it to those medical schools 'enticing' students into primary care by promising they can dump on PAs and nurses: many PAs and NPs don't want to do primary care, either. I unfortunately only have a personal example, but my friends want to be and/or were hired into anesthesia, surgery, GI, cardiology, and dermatology. No primary care in sight, yet
