A Pre-med's nightmare... How screwed am I?

lundi 19 octobre 2015

I think I committed one of the largest failures in pre-med history (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating.. or maybe not). I was re-reading my primary application, and on my personal statement I made an error... not just any run of the mill error though.. a pretty horrible one. To put it simply, I screwed up a sentence. I wanted the sentence to read:

"....while volunteering I decided to take the longer shift"

instead, I wrote:

"....while volunteering I decided to take the longer ****"

Yup. I said **** on my personal statement, sent to 25+ schools. After the initial amusement wore off I started feeling pretty bad :( . What should I do? Should I email every school individually telling them my error? Should I ignore it and hope they missed it? So far I have 3 II's, 5 rejections, and waiting on the other schools. Should I just email the schools I havent heard back from? Really don't know what to do at this point, if I should even do anything. Do you guys think this mistake is a deal breaker for some schools? Any input would be nice :/ @LizzyM @Goro @gyngyn @Catalystik anyone.
