Shadowing hours lost?

dimanche 15 novembre 2015

One of the physicians that I shadowed during my time in undergrad has retired and is therefore no longer practicing. Just because the physicians you shadowed are no longer in practice, that doesn't mean your hours following them around just vanished. You still have those experiences with you and if you get asked about shadowing during an interview you should speak on things that you learned during those experiences.

I'd recommend trying to contact the office manager of the practices or something like that and maybe asking them if they wouldn't mind allowing you to list their number as a sort of reference on your applications.

If you're wondering about having contact info included on your AACOMAS application, it is my understanding that not listing them is not a big deal. Honestly, what med school has the time to verify every single activity of every single applicant?
