Have you ever had a cavity?

The question is in the title. Have you ever had a cavity? I came back from the dentist today after getting a cleaning (been over a year since my last cleaning) and he said I have 4 cavities. ... One medium size, one small/medium, and two small.

Like most of you I consider myself to have good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day, floss a few times a week. But I have never had a cavity before. It's kinda bums me out since I'm going into the dental field and everything But yea has anyone ever had a cavity or any other dental related issue? Perio?
