Thanks pancrease. One of my co-residents happened to call right after posting this. She doesn't think the program did their due diligence at all. She thought I should try to appeal. Ordinarily I would. But our PD switched after July. The PD told me in August that he/she would have never chosen me. I wish I would have seen the writing on the wall as being so awful. I had good faith, being from a good school with top-notch board scores. My evals at least documented that I was busting my butt as far as effort goes.
The program, thus far, does not appear to be interested in helping me pursue clinical anything. Considering going to the local media. People deserve to know...this program/complex is very image conscious with their advertising. It's sickening to see TV commercials about "how much they care for the community". They sure don't care about their resident physicians.
