Three months should be plenty of time to get on a sleep schedule if you actually work on it (like set a bed time or something, don't just expect your body to magically know what's going on). I have lots of family members with jobs that require switching back and forth between day and night shifts, and it seems like it takes less time to get use to a "normal" sleep schedule after working nights than it takes to get use to night shifts.
Of course your mileage may vary. How long did it take you to adjust to your current schedule?
As you describe it, it doesn't seem like the issue is your sleep schedule so much as lack of sleep (if that makes any sense).

Are night shifts going to hurt me?
