Hey guys, so it's Columbia, Pitt - I have interviewed at Pitt ad still waiting for Columbia. Both of those have pretty steep tuition. If I were to go there, I would have some financial support from my parents, but it would be mostly student loans. On the other hand, going to a Texas school, I feel like I would graduate with very little/no debt as I have some savings and parental support.
I'm trying to decide this now instead of later down the line because I don't want to 1) spend money interviewing at Columbia if it is the less reasonable choice and 2) I think it'll be a lot harder for me to withdraw if I have an acceptance than if I were to withdraw at this stage.
As for professional goals, I want to acquire an MD/MPH with a focus on global health and do either ID, OB/GYN, or oncology (pretty varied I know).
