I would appreciate your input in terms of future job/employment, residency for both (although Dental is not mandatory) and actual job. I do not like Surgery otherwise I would definitely go for Dentistry. I'm thinking anything other than surgery in Medicine.
So Please help me]]> 42 Sat, 12 Dec 2015 19:09:16 +0000 http://ift.tt/1I0vFLg http://ift.tt/1I0vFLg invalid@example.com (LouisvilleStudent) LouisvilleStudent
Just to introduce myself, I'm a dental student getting towards then end of my education at Louisville (ULSD). I just wanted to give an honest perspective of the school: things I like, things that are frustrating, etc. Here goes.
Overview of the program:
-First year: Heavy didactics (Microbiology, Gross Anatomy, Head and Neck Anatomy, Biochemistry, Histology, Physiology) and a decent amount of lab work (Simulation drilling/filling)....

I'm a non-traditional student who's planning to apply for dental school next year.
I graduated with biology degree in 2009 and when i contacted few of the dental schools they
recommended me to go back to college to take some upper level Biology courses and I just finished taking Immunology, which went great.
Now for the next semester, I have to decide whether to take Mircrobiology or Human Anatomy I.
I mean I wish I can take both, but I work full time and I really have to study...

Interviewer: "Tell me, what is one of your weaknesses, if you don't mind?"
Me: *Pause* "Hmm... well, when I get really stressed out, I tend to eat lots of junk food...and, yeah..."

I heard at Scholl that macs have a hard time with the software...
and I heard at Barry that tablets/touch screen laptops (2 in 1's) can be useful in a clinical setting for the ability to write, eliminating the need to type while visit patients etc...
So what have yall heard?

I thought both compounds are meso compound.
However, it turned out to be the first one is not meso, nor the second
was just achiral compound.
Can you explain why those two compounds are meso compound?]]> 11 Sat, 12 Dec 2015 19:05:07 +0000 http://ift.tt/1I0vEH6 http://ift.tt/1I0vEH6 invalid@example.com (101N) 101N

He told me that I would need to get at least a 33 on my MCAT (usually 30 is a good score right?) and a very high GPA + SGPA to be accepted. Is this true??
Also in one of the posts on 7/4/00, there was a reply stating that if you only have permanent residency and no US citizenship, you will also need to have a very competitive status to be accepted.
Does this mean...
